When we decided to open Hum&Purry we had first and foremost in our minds the wish to share our love of design and furniture.

The showroom has been laid out in such a way as to allow clients to see pieces as they are when one lives with them at home. Many shops and showrooms have a limit to the space that furniture and objects can be viewed within. Therefore, naturally, pieces are seen in an ‘abstract’ way, outside the context of a living environment. We hope to facilitate the experience of choosing pieces you may end up living with by exhibiting them in a context more like home than shop. Our collection is eclectic, rather than in one particular style.

The one theme that runs through the showroom is that the pieces are predominantly decorative, ‘curious’ pieces. There is a strong emphasis on interesting and unusual objects that may not be of famous provenance, but, rather that they have integrity in their design and execution, that there is quality of material, whether in wood, metal, glass or ceramic.

We aim to offer our clients an opportunity to see a varied collection, one where you might arrive with one particular piece in mind but perhaps leave with another…or possibly even both! We have a passion for furniture and decoration and hope that you will leave us, inspired by our collection and how we present it.
